The Society Page en Espanol WITH #JorgeRestrepoNJ

POLICE PROMOTIONS - BOROUGH OF PENNS GROVE, NEW JERSEY - Nov 1, 2022

POLICE PROMOTIONS - BOROUGH OF PENNS GROVE, NEW JERSEY - Nov 1, 2022

POLICE PROMOTIONS MAYOR LaDaena Thomas - RICHARD RIVERA - SONYA WORLEY - BOROUGH OF PENNS GROVE, NEW JERSEY - MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEETING- NOV-1-2022 POLICE DIRECTOR : RICHARD RIVERA Borough of Penns Grove Police Deparment We're very excited here in the Police Department. We made these three promotions to have supervisors on the road and now we have a Lieutenant running the entire Police Department. So this year we're looking forward to buying more equipment and have more officers out on the street engaging with the community. So this is, these are big times, there is exciting times for us here in Penns Grove. COUNCILWOMAN SONYA WORLEY Borough of Penns Grove, NJ So we had a lot done, so it was very good. MAYOR LADAENA D. THOMAS Borough of Penns Grove, NJ The mayor of Penns Grove, NJ. Tonight doing our November 1st regular Borough Council meeting. We had a ceremony to swear in some officers.Promoted to Sergeant is very exciting moment. I am very happy with our police, I'm happy with our Police Department. One of the main things for me was that our police got back out in the community. And, you know, they built relations with the children, with the residents. And it's been going really, really well. Sometimes you might see, officers playing with the kids. You might see them, you know, playing basketball with the children. Sargeant Hemple, he was just recently promoted to Sergeant. He did a fishing event. This past summer and we had over 100 residents, most of them children, and they got free fishing poles, So it's very important to me that our residents trust the police and the police trust our residents because we're one family. So I'm very excited about the promotions today and I look forward to growing our police. Word of Wisdom today is you have to work together to accomplish things. You have to work together to make progress. If, you're not working together, nothing happens. And we're all here for that one purpose, right? All of us elected officials get elected to make a change. So you know. That's to everyone. Work together. Work with your Council members, Council members, work with your mayors. Whatever personal agendas or personal problems you have, sit that stuff to the side. It's about your residence. So that's my word of wisdom for today.
